Alphonse Schiller and Emilia Charron were married on 7 Aug 1906 St Sebastien, Iberville County, Quebec.

Born January 12,1884 in St Joachim, Ontario. Parents were Honore Schiller and Emelie Trepanier. Alphonse's father, Honore had purchased a large section of land in St. Joachim, Ontntario from the Federation of Canada in 1867. Part of the land was cleared by Honore and his brother David, which became the site of the RC church in St. Joachim Ontario. Alphonse had 13 brothers and sisters. They were: 1) Delphine (Mrs John Deschamp) 2) Honore Jr. 3) Alfred 4) Ernest 5) Bertha (Mrs Noe Reaume then Mrs d'Hormidas Roussin) 6) Ozalie 7) Raymond 8) Frank 9) Leda 10) George 11) Laurencia (Mrs Philias Gaudette) 12) Alexandre 13) and a baby who died at birth. Leda (Mrs Romeo Guilbeault) was a grandchild who was brought up by Alphonse's parents, Honore and Emelie. Married Emilia Charron by Rev. C.A. Messier in 1906 in St Sebastien, Iberville County, Quebec, Canada. Father of 16 children. He met Emilia Charron (from Quebec) when she was visiting her sister in Staples Ontario. In 1907, Emilia Charron family moved from Quebec to Staples, Ontario. Educated at St. Joachim Schools, Bourget College in Rigaud, Quebec and Chatham College School of Business. Alphonse operated a grocery store in Staples, Ontario and in 1917 moved to Tilbury, served as Seperate School trustee, councillor and as town assessor. In 1925, he moved to Belle River, Ont. and became Manager of the Belle River Grain and Seed Co. In 1928, he moved to Riverside and began his career as a Realtor. In 1939 moved to 325 Fairview Blvd, Riverside, and later acquired an adjacent 64 acre farm. In 1951, he made an arrangement with White Const. Co. whereby the land was developed for home construction and he having the exclusive right to sell the newly constructed homes. Alphonse died on August 27, 1963 in Windsor, Ontario.

Attended grade and high school in Tilbury. Marie-Reine then attented
Teacher Training School in Sandwich for 2 years. and during this period
she lived at Uncle Dan's (Chauvin) on Pierre Avenue in Windsor. (Her
parents lived in Belle River at that time.) Her first teaching job was
in Stoney Point, Ontario, where she taught grades 1-4. During this
period, she lived at Aunt Bertha's sister's (Mrs. Fred Mailloux) home.
After 1 year in Stoney Point, Marie-Reine taught the same grades in St.
Joachim, Ontario. Here, she lived in grandma Schiller's home.
After her parents moved to Riverside, she attended McCallen Business
Institute in Windsor while living at home. When finished at McCallen,
there were no jobs to be had in Windsor. As a result, Marie- Reine
searched for a job in Detroit. Her first job was with the Atlantic
Sponge and Chamoix Company where she worked for several months. After
seeing an advertisement, she went to work as a secretary for the Koons
Candy Company on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Marie Reine worked here for
several years and then the company went bankrupt. The company came back
as a candy factory and Marie-Reine went to work for the company as a
sales representatives. She sold candy arrangements to stores and clubs.
At this time, she lived in an apartment on Sheraton Avenue.
She then went to work for Healey's, an upscale specialty department
store, as a sales person in the furs department. Later, she became a
buyer in the perfume department.
During this period, Marie-Reine met Eugene (Mickey) Doonan son of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Doonan who lived on Manistique Avenue in Detroit.
It was love at first sight.They were married on 20 June 1936 in St.
Catherine's Chapel at the University of Detroit. Their Best Man was
Klari Kaiser and the Maid of Honour was her sister Fernande Biglin. The
attending priest was Father Spillard.
Mick and Rene had 2 daughters, Kathleen b. July 16, 1937 and Marilyn
b. May 10, 1940. Became a U.S. citizen on June 11, !942. At that time,
changed name from Marie-Reine to Marie Renee.

Germaine was born on October 20,1909 in Staples, Ontario. After high
school, she entered the Hotel Dieu Hospital School of Nursing in
Windsor, Ontario. In 1929 in her final year of training, Germaine
contacted tuberculous osteomyelitis. She was in and out of a sanitarium
and was eventually well enough to continue her studies. In 1942, she
became a Registered Nurse (Provincial registration no. 42-541). Early in
1949 , Germaine began to lose weight rapidly and Dr. Jeffries, head of
the sanitarium in Windsor made arrangement for her to enter the
University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There she was
operated on by one of the country's leading thoracic surgeon. She then
returned to the Windsor sanitarium for one more operation and finally
was pronounced cured by Dr. G. S. Jeffrey on November 17, 1949. She went
back to work and did private duty nursing, also worked at the
sanitarium.She also worked as an Industrial Nurse at the L.A.Young Co.
in Windsor for a few years. Germain never married and starting in the
early 1950's she devoted the rest of her life to taking care of her

Rachelle's. According to Juliette Trudelle nee Schiller, Rachelle and
Gilbert-Andre were the first set of twins in the great-grandchildren
generation of Alphonse Schiller and Emilia Schiller nee Charron. Emillia
