Honore Schiller and Emelie Trepanier were married on 17 May 1875 at St. Simon and Jude Church in Belle River, Essex County, Ont.

Born in Nov. 1851 at St Maurice, Quebec, a town near Three Rivers. Son of David Schiller and Delphine Desmarteaux. Also father of Alphonse Schiller. Honore left Quebec in 1867 and worked his way to the Bay City, Michigan area. Honore had 4 brothers who migrated and settled in the Bay City, Michigan area. They were David, Thomas, Amedee and Joseph. Bay City is north of Detroit on Saginaw Bay. Honore did not settle in Bay City and returned to Canada. When he arrived in the St Joachim, Ontario area, he bought land in the sixth concession of Rochester Township. (Lot number 8 currently the farm of Adrien LeBoeuf, circa 1981). Honore's brother David bought the land immediately north of his.( Marcel Sylvestre's farm,circa 1981). In 1875, Honore married Emelie Trepanier, daughter of Narcisse Trepanier and Victoire Chauvin. They had 14 children, Delphine, (Mrs John Deschamps), Honore Jr, Alfred, Alphonse, Ernest, Bertha (Mrs Noe Reaume), Ozalie, Raymond, Frank, Leda, George, Laurencia (Mrs Philias Gaudette) Alexandre and a baby who died at birth. Leda was a grand child raised as their own. She became Mrs. Romeo Guilbeault. In 1883, Honore bought lands situated in lot 15 of concession 6, Rochester Township near the Ruscom River. He was a real pioneer and one of the first settlers in this area. He cleared the land and initially built a log cabin until a new house was built. Honore and his brother David cleared the three acre site on which the St Joachim RC Church was built. Honore was interested in public affairs and served as school trustee in the 1890's. Honore died on April 21,1925.

"Alfred Schiller, 90, of this area, died 11th August 1970. Surviving are sons Lorenzo, Romeo and Roland of Belle River, Edaward of Tilbury, daughters Mrs. louiseanna Barrette, Mrs. Albert (Victoria) Leboeuf and Mrs Romeo (Emilie) Leboeuf of St-Joachim, Mrs. Eugene (Rachel)
Quenneville of Leamington, Mrs. Bertha Baillargeon of Tecumseh and Mrs. Alphonse (Jeanette) Boulley of Tilbury, sisters Mrs Lorenzie Gaudette of Belle River. Mrs. Berta Roussein of St-Joachim and brother George of St-Joachim, 50 grandchildren and 82 Great grandchildren Mr. Schiller rested at the F.B. Melady Funeral Home, Belle River. Funeral service was held Friday at St-Joachim Church."

Born January 12,1884 in St Joachim, Ontario. Parents were Honore
Schiller and Emelie Trepanier. Alphonse's father, Honore had purchased a large section of land in St. Joachim, Ontntario from the Federation of Canada in 1867. Part of the land was cleared by Honore and his brother David, which became the site of the RC church in St. Joachim Ontario. Alphonse had 13 brothers and sisters. They were: 1) Delphine (Mrs John Deschamp) 2) Honore Jr. 3) Alfred 4) Ernest 5) Bertha (Mrs Noe Reaume then Mrs d'Hormidas Roussin) 6) Ozalie 7) Raymond 8) Frank 9) Leda 10) George 11) Laurencia (Mrs Philias Gaudette) 12) Alexandre 13) and a baby who died at birth. Leda (Mrs Romeo Guilbeault) was a grandchild who was brought
up by Alphonse's parents, Honore and Emelie. Married Emilia Charron by Rev. C.A. Messier in 1906 in St Sebastien, Iberville County, Quebec, Canada. Father of 16 children. Names and birth

In 1907, Emilia Charron family moved from Quebec to Staples, Ontario. Educated at St. Joachim Schools, Bourget College in Rigaud, Quebec and Chatham College School of Business. Alphonse operated a grocery store in Staples, Ontario and in 1917 moved to Tilbury, served as Seperate School trustee, councillor and as town assessor. In 1925, he moved to Belle River, Ont. and became Manager of the Belle River Grain
and Seed Co. In 1928, he moved to Riverside and began his career as a Realtor. In 1939 moved to 325 Fairview Blvd, Riverside, and later acquired an adjacent 64 acre farm. In 1951, he made an arrangement with White Const. Co. whereby the land was developed for home construction
and he having the exclusive right to sell the newly constructed homes. Alphonse died on August 27, 1963 in Windsor, Ontario.
